On 2nd October 2024, The Asian Financial Leaders Programme (AFLP) held its graduation dinner for the 9th cohort at The Westin Singapore. We celebrated the evening with our alumni and distinguished guests, including Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Alvin Tan, UOB CEO Wee Ee Cheong, OCBC CEO Helen Wong, JP Morgan Senior Country Officer Wai Mei Hong, and Institute for Banking & Finance CEO Carolyn Neo.
The AFLP—jointly developed by Singapore Management University (SMU) and HCLI—is a vital part of the Monetary Association of Singapore’s efforts to equip financial executives with the skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing global landscape. With 372 C-suite professionals graduating since 2015, the AFLP has proven to be instrumental in fostering connections and insights among leaders from top financial institutions.
Building on this success, MOS Alvin Tan announced that MAS is expanding its leadership training initiatives by adding two new programmes, one for senior leaders and another for mid-management.
