New Leadership at HCLI
We are pleased to inform you that Doris Sohmen-Pao will succeed Michael Jenkins as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI) starting in March 2020.
We are grateful for Michael’s leadership, under which HCLI launched a number of important initiatives including HC Prisms, HCLI’s recent research that defines and reframes approaches to human capital challenges. During his tenure, Michael also successfully developed links with a variety of public and private sector organisations, led a range of HCLI programmes, and raised HCLI’s brand both in Singapore and beyond. We thank Michael for his service to HCLI and wish him the best in his future undertakings.
We welcome Doris who joins HCLI with extensive experience in the areas of education, human capital and media. Doris helped build and lead Yale-NUS College and educational programmes at Singapore Management University and INSEAD. She has also been deeply involved with Princeton University where she served on the Board of Trustees. Doris also led recruiting and HR at Bain & Co’s Southeast Asia practice as Director of Human Capital. Her media experience stems from her work at Time Inc. where she was based in their London and Hong Kong offices and led their international new media practice.
Doris currently works as an advisor to the Singapore Public Service Division, helping develop relationships and synergies between the public and private sector. She serves on the boards of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, Singapore National Gallery, and the EXCO of the Singapore chapter of the International Women’s Forum. She will also continue to serve on the HCLI board.
We are excited to have Doris helm HCLI in its mission to advance the development of leadership capabilities and human capital in Asia, and to build on the work of Michael and past CEOs.
